About the Role
Hartpury University is looking for a skilled and experienced professional to lead our academic study skills team in delivering top-quality, inclusive academic support to our students. This role involves providing operational leadership for the university’s academic study skills provision, ensuring it is impactful, responsive, and fully integrated into our curriculum.
The successful candidate will:
- Oversee and directly deliver high-quality academic study skills support for students across levels 3–8.
- Collaborate with academic and professional services teams to create inclusive and engaging study skills resources and learning opportunities for all students.
- Drive innovation and best practice within academic study skills provision, working with the team and management to continually monitor and evaluate the impact of our services.

About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
- Possess professional recognition of teaching at Advance HE Fellowship level (or higher) or an equivalent higher education teaching qualification.
- Have either a certified management qualification or relevant experience in managing a small team of academic staff.
- Have in-depth knowledge of academic study skills development for students at levels 3–8, informed by recognized sector practices.
- Demonstrate experience in delivering evidence-based teaching, learning, and assessment within higher education.
