About Us
Our university has built an integrated and forward-thinking External Relations Directorate, encompassing the Communications & Engagement and Student Recruitment & Marketing teams. This collaborative group includes functions such as Communications & Engagement, Marketing, Recruitment and Conversion, Outreach and Access, Design and Digital, Events and Alumni, and the International Office.
This role sits within the Alumni Relations team, which focuses on strengthening the university’s ties with graduates and fostering long-term engagement. The aim is to build alumni affinity while supporting UEL’s wider goals of advocacy and institutional development.
About the Role
As a critical part of our alumni relations efforts, this role involves managing and enhancing UEL’s alumni data and communications strategy. A key focus is coordinating activity related to the Graduate Outcomes Survey while maintaining the accuracy and compliance of our alumni CRM system.
The role also includes:
- Crafting segmented, global communications that align with our brand values and foster connections across our alumni network.
- Supporting alumni engagement in events such as graduation ceremonies, ensuring smooth transitions from student to graduate.
- Producing flagship outputs like our annual alumni magazine.
- Collaborating across departments on data-driven projects to strengthen alumni relationships.
- Supporting key engagements like the Alumni Big Weekend and other major university events.
This is a data-driven, compliance-focused position where you’ll contribute to enhancing lifelong engagement with graduates, developing meaningful connections, and supporting UEL’s overarching objectives.
About You
We’re looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for data, and a strong aptitude for communication. As the go-to person for alumni data management and communication projects, you’ll play a vital role in shaping how we engage with and support our graduates.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience using CRM systems to build effective communications and generate audience-specific messaging.
- Expertise in segmenting data to produce targeted, high-quality content.
- A passion for collaboration, working closely with the Head of Alumni and partnering with services like our Careers Team to enhance engagement with recent graduates.
You’ll thrive on using insights to create engaging experiences for our alumni and be a key part of UEL’s efforts to build lifelong relationships with its graduates.
