The Role
Northeastern University London is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor (Teaching & Scholarship) in Information Technology Management. The appointee will play a pivotal role in the development of our UK undergraduate and postgraduate degree apprenticeship programmes, particularly in Information Technology Management, while also contributing to the university’s general service within and across faculties. The successful candidate will initially focus on the university’s online BSc Digital and Technology Solutions programme.
We are seeking a specialist in Information Technology Management. Preference may be given to candidates with experience in English apprenticeships and ServiceNow training.
Core Duties:
- Develop and teach cutting-edge courses in Information Technology Management, both online and on campus
- Conduct assessment and moderation activities
- Provide student support
- Participate in peer reviews

- ServiceNow administration
- Information Technology Service Management (ITSM)
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)

Person Specification Criteria
Qualifications
- PhD completed or expected, or equivalent professional experience, in a relevant area
- FHEA status, or equivalent, achieved or expected (desirable)
General Criteria
- Evidence of being adaptable, innovative, and inclusive in teaching and service
- Commitment to continuous professional development in strategic themes such as technology, data, sustainability, and ethics
- Capacity to develop appealing educational provision, including at the postgraduate level with a focus on experiential learning
- Flexibility to teach across a variety of courses, potentially in collaboration with specialists from different disciplines
- Teaching competency in ServiceNow
- Teaching competency in Information Technology Management to Levels 4–6
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Proficiency in IT and supporting technology integration into learning and teaching
- Strong time-management and organisational skills
