The solutions to these challenges require the pioneering science we endorse, but will also necessitate collaborative efforts beyond scientific research alone.
We are currently seeking a Data Insights Analyst to become part of our team.
Where will I be situated within Wellcome?
As a member of the Data Insights team, you will work alongside data analysts skilled in both quantitative and qualitative methods, experts in data visualization, and product managers. Our team’s goal is to develop data tools and provide solid insights based on our funding and organizational data to facilitate informed decision-making throughout the organization.
You will be positioned within the Data & Digital team, working alongside software developers, machine learning engineers, and designers, all united in advancing Wellcome’s goal of overcoming global health challenges.
What responsibilities will I undertake?
We are committed to supporting your development in data and analytics expertise. This encompasses crafting dashboards & data solutions and sharing insights with stakeholders from different sectors within the organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Providing vital analysis and insights to enhance Wellcome’s understanding of its funding and internal data.
– Manipulating different extensive datasets and applying a range of analytical and statistical approaches to address intricate issues.
– Assisting in the preparation of reports to broadcast research findings, analyses, and insights.
– Communicating technical results and recommendations effectively to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.

You should possess a passion for data and enjoy solving demanding problems while engaging in team collaboration. We are on the lookout for candidates with:
– A quantitative background and solid data analysis capabilities (Essential)
– Proficiency in data visualization and interpretation (Essential)
– An eagerness to continually acquire new skills, tools, and techniques (Essential)
– Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to distill complex information into key points (Essential)
– Some understanding of the fields of science (life/social), public health, innovation, or policy, or the capacity to quickly familiarize oneself with a range of scientific subjects and research policies (Desirable)

Wellcome values work-life balance and seeks to cultivate a work environment that accommodates flexibility, enabling our team to perform at their peak. Presently, we operate on a hybrid model with two days a week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) spent at our Euston Road office and the option to work remotely or in the office for the remaining three days.
Starting September 1st, 2024, the office presence will be required for three days each week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), with flexibility for the remaining two days.
