Position Overview:
Seize an exciting opportunity to become part of a newly established Integration Team at the University of Warwick. Your technical acumen will shine across various technology platforms as a specialist, setting the stage for success in projects involving physical infrastructure and cloud services. Collaboration is key, as you will work alongside a team to rapidly resolve technical issues, meet project deadlines, and ensure data stability and service availability. You will emerge as a mentor, fostering the growth of less experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities:
– Ensure swift IT solutions for teaching, research, and professional services, primarily focusing on cloud-based methodologies and suitable technology selection.
– Efficiently manage services hosted on-premises and on cloud platforms.
Digital Support Duties:
– Professionally and promptly handle service requests and incident resolutions to meet departmental SLA goals.
– Tackle complex technical problems in collaboration with support teams and third-party vendors to offer integrated technical solutions.
– Apply expertise to directly resolve issues or escalate them as needed.
– Prepare thorough documentation of solutions to a consistent, high standard.
– Uphold strict confidentiality and ensure data integrity and availability.
– Integrate business continuity measures within solutions across their lifecycle.
– Monitor system operations, responding to anomalies and alerts.
Enhancement of IT Services:
– Identify and resolve recurring issues by addressing their root causes.
– Spearhead risk management related to the lifecycle of systems and services.
– Handle capacity planning and forecasting to contribute to the 5-year strategic cycle, ensuring services meet expected standards.
– Champion standardized solutions, with the potential to optimize and extend services as necessary.
– Leverage automation and orchestration to enhance service and incident responses.
Specialist Technical Expertise:
– Lead the design and implementation of technical solutions, addressing escalated or complex issues and documenting improvements.
– Contribute industry insights to guide advanced technical decisions.
– Manage Integration methods and platforms, such as Azure Integration Services.
Position Requirements:
– Demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency, combined with excellent communication skills for advising non-technical stakeholders.
– Academic background: Degree in a relevant field.
– Professional credentials: ITIL Foundation certification.
– Experience: At least 3 years as an Integration Engineer in a medium to large organization.
– Proficiency in Azure Integration Services (AIS), Logic Apps, Function Apps, Data Factory, API Management, and C# Development.
