The Role
Newcastle Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU) is a prominent UKCRC Registered academic unit that collaborates with investigators to design and execute clinical trials addressing vital clinical questions, ultimately improving patient care and benefitting the NHS. We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Data Manager to join our dynamic and growing team.
As a Data Manager, you will be a key contributor to the successful operation of data-related processes across a diverse range of clinical trials. You will collaborate closely with Chief Investigators, trial teams, database providers, statisticians, and other experts to create, develop, and manage high-quality data capture systems and trial randomisation processes. Your role will ensure that trial data is accurate, reliable, and compliant with regulatory requirements, thus supporting robust statistical analyses and delivering meaningful trial results.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and maintaining computerised databases and non-computerised datasets.
- Performing data cleaning, validation, and preparation for reporting and analysis.
- Contributing to trial documentation, training activities, and internal quality improvement efforts.
