Health Sciences University (HSU: formerly AECC University College) is a specialist institution dedicated to advancing health sciences through exceptional education, clinical care, and applied research.

With the recent approval of our new university title, HSU, in July 2024, and the integration of the University College of Osteopathy into the HSU family on 1st August 2024, the university is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation across campuses in Bournemouth and central London.

We are a values-driven institution, guided by our mission to “create a healthier society through education, research, and clinical care.” Our committed staff and students work collaboratively within a caring and inclusive community. This ethos forms the foundation of our ongoing Strategic Plan 2021–2026, titled Fit for the Future, which will soon be refreshed to reflect recent institutional changes.

HSU offers a diverse and expanding portfolio of pre- and post-registration academic programs alongside research in allied health and related disciplines. Our CQC-registered clinical and imaging services provide exceptional care to staff, students, and local communities. These on-site facilities offer unique opportunities for students to gain hands-on practical experience, support NHS partners at local and regional levels, and participate in a rich research environment alongside faculty and collaborators.

At HSU, partnership working is integral to our identity. As an agile higher education institution and clinical care provider, we proactively address workforce, educational, and healthcare needs in collaboration with external stakeholders. As a significant anchor institution, we are committed to supporting our communities and developing a strategic approach to partnerships at local, regional, national, and international levels.

Our inter-professional learning and practice environment is vibrant, inclusive, and designed with a focus on fostering collaboration and well-being for staff and students.

About the Role
