Situated within the Quality Improvement College Centre, the Prescribing Observatory for Mental Health (POMH) is dedicated to aiding specialist mental health services throughout the UK in enhancing the safety and efficacy of their medication prescribing practices. We conduct quality improvement programs, centered around audits on selected topics in mental health medication, and supply tailored reports to services that compare their practices against evidence-based benchmarks.
Applicants should possess a robust interest in data analytics and patient care quality enhancement. Proficiency in SPSS or equivalent statistical and data analysis software is imperative. Candidates should bring a background in project management, audit, research, and an exceptional attention to detail. Strong organisational abilities, adeptness in report writing, and superior communication skills are key for success in this role.
Key duties encompass managing project timelines, guiding staff through data cleansing and large dataset analysis, ensuring timely national report production, contributing to the creation of data collection instruments, coordinating with healthcare professionals, and orchestrating events such as webinars.
