About the School/Service: IT Services

IT Services is a centralized operation working collaboratively across UEL to revolutionize the university’s digital ecosystem in alignment with our Vision 2028 strategic plan. Through cutting-edge projects and a dynamically evolving cloud environment, the team works closely with staff, students, partners, and other stakeholders to enhance technological capabilities that enrich both learning and work experiences.

Our focus is to implement, develop, and support a comprehensive portfolio of IT systems and services for the university. Every team member embodies UEL’s values, contributing to a learning community rooted in equality, celebrating the vibrant diversity of our students and staff.


About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Desktop Engineer to join the End User Compute team, delivering technical support and ensuring a top-tier digital workspace experience. You will play a key role in supporting and maintaining a Unified Desktop Environment (UDE) across a variety of devices, including desktops, laptops, and tablets running on Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS platforms.


About You

You’re a passionate and meticulous Desktop Engineer with substantial experience in building and managing desktops and applications. Equipped with a problem-solving mindset, you thrive in a collaborative environment and are always seeking new ways to optimize performance and elevate user experiences. You take ownership of your responsibilities, excelling in an agile setting where technical expertise is balanced with business priorities.
