Are you a support officer or administrator who loves solving problems, supporting others, and improving the usability of learning technologies? The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at the University of Oxford is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Digital Education Support Assistant. This exciting role involves providing expert guidance on Canvas and other digital education tools, ensuring staff and students alike benefit from an inclusive, high-quality learning experience across the University.

About the Role
As a Digital Education Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal part in the Digital Education Group within CTL. Your role will combine supporting services and projects with direct interaction with staff and students. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering frontline support through our service desk, managing queries, offering basic advice, and directing users to the right solutions.
- Assisting with data administration and course-building activities to support staff across the University with digital learning tools.
- Collaborating with the Digital Education Coordinator and team to collect and manage information, ensuring CTL commitments are met.
- Contributing to centrally delivered activities, including training sessions, user guidance creation, and user groups, giving you the chance to grow your skills and advance in the field of learning technology.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have experience in either an administrative or course support position and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. Your enthusiasm for learning new software, along with your problem-solving abilities and passion for digital education, will be key.
Some essential qualities you will bring include:
- Strong listening and questioning skills to understand user needs.
- Exceptional written English for clear communication with diverse audiences.
- The ability to work independently and use your initiative to resolve challenges.
- Excellent organisation skills to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues at all levels, demonstrating tact and diplomacy where necessary.
