Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and talented individual to join our Education and Professional Learning (EPL) Team, a crucial part of the broader Investigations Standards and Practices (ISP) portfolio. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in advancing the AFP’s investigative processes, developing state-of-the-art, flexible learning methods tailored to enhance our investigative capabilities.

Responsibilities:
As an EPL Team Member within ISP, you will:
– Craft top-quality learning solutions to bolster the investigative prowess of AFP and its partner agencies in the Commonwealth.
– Produce and refine digital media, including video and photos, to professional standards using Mac, Adobe, and Sony tools.
– Apply Adobe Creative Suite expertise, primarily in Premiere, Photoshop, and Lightroom or Bridge, to create compelling educational materials.
– Design content aimed at fostering learning and stimulating critical thought.
– Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in educational offerings and methodologies.
– Remain abreast of the latest technologies and design principles for creating engaging educational resources.
– Identify key investigative capability gaps and formulate learning strategies to address them.
– Engage with stakeholders to keep pace with evolving trends in investigation techniques and education.
– Understand and operate within legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks pertaining to the Investigations Capability and Learning and Development Command.
– Handle project tasks, including managing timelines, tracking activities, coordinating with suppliers, and reporting as needed.

Essential Requirements:
– Australian citizenship at the time of applying.
– Ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
– Proven ability to create high-caliber learning materials using applications like Adobe Creative Suite.
– Keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills.
– Deep understanding of the AFP’s role and functions.

Preferable Experience:
– Background in developing and designing educational products.

Additional Information:
– This position is classified as AFP Band 5.
– The application aims to fill current and future vacancies over the next 12 months.
– While advertised in multiple locations, the role is based in Canberra, ACT, and successful candidates should be prepared to relocate.
– Evidence of at least two COVID-19 vaccination doses (or a single Janssen vaccine dose) may be requested upon a job offer.
