Position Overview:
In the role of Digital Library Administrator at BIMM University, you will play a crucial part in aiding the management, progression, and oversight of our digital library and informational assets. Your responsibilities will include guaranteeing that both students and faculty members have uninterrupted access to digital academic tools and resources. Your collaboration with internal departments and external collaborators will be pivotal in enhancing the digital library user experience. This presents a thrilling chance to be a key contributor to the University’s digital-forward vision and bolster our academic ecosystem.

Your Responsibilities:

– Manage the digital library system and website, ensuring precision and effectiveness.
– Work in sync with academic staff, the tech team, and vendors to advance and refine our library services.
– Oversee the acquisition of digital resources, monitor user engagement, track resource utilization, and provide reports on systems and materials.
– Offer technical and administrative assistance to users navigating digital library services, and address any emerging issues.
– Aid in strengthening digital and information literacy through workshops, training sessions, and crafting educational content.
– Support process improvements in information management and help in the implementation of online study skills initiatives.
– Provide administrative support to the Digital Learning Team, and contribute to academic audits and development projects where needed.
– Collaborate with peers in the pursuit of the University’s educational goals and gather data on the efficacy of academic improvement efforts.

Your Qualifications:

– Significant experience in administration, preferably within higher education or digital library domains.
– Skilled in the management of software systems handling an array of users, with different access levels, such as Library Management Systems or Virtual Learning Environments (VLE).
– Advanced report-writing skills, with an ability to clarify technical concepts in diverse formats.
– Exceptional communication skills and the proficiency to engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
– In-depth understanding of current internet standards and protocols, coupled with strong IT and organizational aptitudes.
– Self-starter with the capacity for independent work and sound decision making in operational matters.
