Build Reliable, Secure, and Future-Ready Applications for a Connected University

Canterbury Christ Church University is seeking two talented, solution-driven Digital Solutions Engineers (Applications) to contribute to the delivery, configuration, and enhancement of enterprise applications across the institution.

In these key roles, you will ensure that digital applications are secure, seamlessly integrated, and responsive to the evolving needs of our students, staff, and wider university community. From deployment and testing to troubleshooting and upgrades, you will oversee the full lifecycle of applications to guarantee smooth operation and optimal functionality.

Collaborating closely with business users, IT teams, external vendors, and integration specialists, your work will focus on delivering tailored application solutions that improve university processes and elevate user experiences. You will also ensure compliance, maintain thorough technical documentation, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across digital operations.

Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for individuals with the skillset and enthusiasm to:

  • Deploy, configure, and optimise enterprise software applications to align with institutional needs.
  • Support integration efforts between university systems, platforms, and external services.
  • Oversee the full application lifecycle, including testing, deployment, upgrades, and continuous maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively with users, vendors, and technical teams to deliver impactful application solutions.
  • Implement best practices to uphold application security and compliance with university policies.
  • Diagnose and resolve application issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for application configurations and processes.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and propose innovative improvement opportunities.

These hands-on roles require problem-solvers who enjoy working across teams to deliver digital solutions that genuinely make a difference across the university.
