Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) is seeking a highly capable Digital Solutions Engineer (Network) to play a pivotal role in delivering and maintaining the high-performing wired and wireless networks that support our digital services.
This is a critical position, ensuring our students, staff, and researchers have access to secure, seamless, and scalable network connectivity across our digital and physical campus spaces – and in the cloud.
About the Role
As part of the dedicated Digital Solutions team, you will:
- Implement and sustain modern, high-quality network infrastructure.
- Integrate on-premises systems with cloud platforms for secure and efficient operations.
- Proactively manage the performance, availability, and security of our network architecture.
- Collaborate with IT colleagues and stakeholders across academic, research, and professional services to deliver tailored, resilient, and scalable network solutions.
Your work will directly enable the breakthrough connectivity and reliability required to support CCCU’s modern learning, research, and campus operations.
Key Responsibilities
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable, robust wired and wireless network solutions tailored to the University’s needs.
- Facilitate seamless, secure integration between on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- Manage the full network lifecycle, including system upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with academic and professional stakeholders to deliver innovative network capabilities.
- Apply best practices in network security, access control, and compliance standards.
- Monitor and analyze network performance, ensuring high availability and resilience.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in networking, cloud computing, and automation technologies.
