Join Us in Delivering Seamless Digital Transitions for a Future-Ready University
Canterbury Christ Church University is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Digital Transition Manager to oversee the seamless introduction of enhanced IT services into live operation. This key role ensures our digital services are implemented in a way that is smooth, low-risk, and aligned with user needs and operational readiness, contributing to achieving the university’s broader digital transformation goals.
As Digital Transition Manager, you will design and implement structured transition frameworks that strike the perfect balance between speed and stability. Collaborating closely with teams across digital service design, project management, operations, and business functions, you’ll ensure that all new or updated services are primed for success, equipped with the appropriate training, documentation, and support.
You’ll also advocate for service readiness, leading post-implementation reviews to pinpoint lessons and promote continuous improvement, cementing a stronger approach to future transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a proactive individual who can:
- Strategically plan and manage service transitions to minimize disruption and deliver a seamless user experience.
- Build, refine, and maintain consistent service transition frameworks, processes, and templates.
- Align all transition activities with project schedules, organizational needs, and IT capabilities.
- Define and enforce service readiness and acceptance criteria, ensuring operational teams and users are fully prepared for go-live.
- Coordinate training resources and documentation to enable smooth handovers to service delivery teams.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues to maintain service integrity.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews, embedding a culture of ongoing improvement.
- Ensure all service transition activities adhere to governance, security, and operational standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on structure, collaboration, and delivering impactful results—ensuring every service launch is meticulously prepared for success.
