In this unique senior leadership role, you will have the opportunity to shape national policy, influence the UK’s AI and data skills landscape, and lead a high-performing team that delivers tangible change and innovation.
As Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing long-term strategic plans for NICD.
- Leading national initiatives in AI and data skills, aligning with industry and sector demands.
- Strengthening Newcastle University’s relationship with NICD by promoting experimental learning and amplifying research impact.
- Representing NICD as a trusted national and international leader in AI and data skills.
- Building and maintaining partnerships with government, industry, Catapult centres, funders, and universities.
- Leading major investment proposals and securing funding to drive NICD’s growth and national impact.
You will bring recognised expertise and leadership within AI, data science, or digital skills, coupled with the strategic acumen and authority to shape policy, forge partnerships, and deliver large-scale programmes.
