The Library Services branch, integral to the Directorate of Student and Academic Services, is essential in fostering academic endeavors across the university. Our professionals are committed to delivering top-notch resources, forward-thinking services, and skilled advice to bolster the academic journeys of our diverse body of students and staff members.

We are now on the lookout for a detail-oriented E-resource Librarian to join our team.

As the new E-resource Librarian, you will report to the Learning Resources Manager and take on a pivotal function in the stewardship of digital learning materials and systems, ensuring they are well-managed, easily accessible, and optimized for user needs. The role involves hands-on administration of Ex Libris platforms, among others, and you’ll be charged with the upkeep of resource authentication procedures while working closely with varied partners to resolve any e-resource access complications.

Within your purview will be the administration of library systems like Alma, Primo, Leganto, and Rialto. You will oversee resource subscriptions and purchases from start to finish. Crafting and upholding secure authentication protocols for online resources to guarantee uninterrupted user access will be among your responsibilities. A crucial aspect of your position will be the analysis of data and reporting to shape our collection strategy and display the value of our resources to stakeholders.

Moreover, part of your role involves creating and updating documentation that supports the efficient employment of e-resources and systems. We’re in search of an individual who is knowledgeable about new developments, such as AI’s impact on academic search and discovery, with the ability to apply this insight to improve our services.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Library and Information Science or a relevant technical domain, backed by experience in managing integrated library systems and discovery tools. You’ll need a thorough comprehension of e-resource management, authentication solutions, and the latest developments in the field of academic libraries. The ability to communicate effectively, surmount challenges, and partner with various teams is critical.

This position presents a thrilling chance to influence the direction of Library Services and to contribute significantly to our commitment towards delivering first-rate resources and services to our academic population and students.
