The Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) is thrilled to offer a new opportunity as an Education Technologist. This role is critical in supporting and enhancing our digital portfolio and qualification platforms, ensuring a seamless experience for our members and partners in the biomedical science sector.
Role Overview:
As the Education Technologist, you will collaborate with the Head of Digital Education and work closely with the Executive Head of Education. Your responsibilities will include providing first-line support for our digital platforms, addressing inquiries, developing and delivering platform reports, and designing training and guidance materials. Additionally, you’ll contribute to policy formation, refine processes, and improve our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and e-Portfolio tools. This hybrid position combines on-site days at our London office with the flexibility of remote work, presenting an exciting opportunity to influence our digital learning landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- User Support & Training: Serve as the primary contact for platform inquiries, assisting both internal and external users.
- Policy & Guidance Development: Draft, review, and enforce best practice policies for IBMS portfolio platforms.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance the usage of our VLE and e-Portfolio systems. Support Education Officers with technical expertise.
- Digital Optimization & Reporting: Use your technical skills to streamline administrative tasks, automate data collection, and provide ongoing reports to stakeholders.
- Content Development: Assist in the creation of e-learning resources for various qualifications and CPD activities to enrich the learning experience for our members.
Ideal Candidate for this Role:
