Job Opportunity: Support Role for Home Foundation Year Team – Study Advice Team

About the Role:
The Study Advice team is seeking an analytical, confident, and proactive individual to provide essential support to the Home Foundation Year Team. This role involves:

  • Leading the collection and analysis of data on engagement, attainment, and progression of Home Foundation students.
  • Identifying students at risk of not reaching their academic potential and making initial contact to arrange timely referrals.
  • Preparing and analysing data for reports aiding institutional monitoring, planning, and quality assurance.

This position is based at the Library on the Whiteknights campus, which provides a welcoming, dynamic workplace and champions professional development and staff training.

What We Are Looking For:

  • An A-level qualification in a maths-based subject or proven experience in data analysis, with the ability to identify patterns and confidently manipulate numbers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to communicate effectively, compassionately, and professionally with students, academics, and professional services staff.
  • A clear understanding of issues impacting student engagement and academic success.
  • Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, and effective time management.
  • A commitment to continuous process development and improvement.
  • Experience in a student-facing, customer service, or advisory role.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with experience in compiling and analysing data for reporting purposes.
