About the Operations Centre
The Operations Centre is a dynamic, multi-functional team encompassing Systems, Endpoint, Monitoring, and Database engineers. We play a key role in enabling students and staff to access the vital applications and end-user services that support their learning and work. Collaborating closely with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line teams, we lead initiatives such as the crucial start-of-term endpoint refresh, as well as managing the packaging, deployment, upgrades, and repairs of applications requested by course leaders and Colleges. As a team, we effectively leverage tools such as Intune, SCCM, MECM, and Jamf Pro to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
About the Role: Endpoint Engineer
The Endpoint Engineer within the Operations Centre provides expert technical guidance in maintaining and improving the University’s end-user computing environment.
We are looking for a candidate with deep expertise in endpoint management, including the administration of various managed, unmanaged, and BYOD devices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with packaging, deploying, and troubleshooting software applications across a large-scale IT infrastructure. Proficiency in administering and developing endpoint management tools is essential.
The role requires current expertise in multiple platforms including Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, Apple iOS, and Linux. We expect the successful candidate to proactively identify opportunities for improvement, implement innovative solutions, and elevate the user experience for staff and students alike.

This position is based at our vibrant Frenchay campus, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources designed to support staff and students in achieving their goals.
