Recruitment of External Members for the University Council (Governing Body)
The University is seeking to appoint new non-executive External Members to join its Council, the governing body responsible for setting the University’s strategic direction, monitoring institutional performance, and overseeing its financial, property, and investment strategies.
These appointments offer an incredible opportunity for individuals to help shape the future of the University by contributing to key decisions and providing strategic oversight.
We aim to appoint Council Members from diverse backgrounds to ensure equitable representation and benefit from the wealth of heritage and experiences within the University community as well as from the broader local and regional communities. Improving gender balance and increasing representation from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic groups within our Council are central to this commitment.
Candidates will bring strong strategic thinking skills and an exceptional record of achievement in any of the following areas:
- Human Resources, People and Change Management
- Finance, Legal, Audit and Governance
- Digital Transformation and Technology
- Estates Development, Property and Commercial Growth
