HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) brings together a collective of Further Education campuses in West London, with facilities located at Harrow on the Hill, Harrow Weald, Hayes, Uxbridge, and Richmond upon Thames. This strategic alliance of campuses is seeking a dynamic individual for a newly established position, reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO).

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team, HR associates, and critical stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

– Serving as the principal specialist in Employee Business Services within the department, aiding the CPO in providing effective, people-centric services integral to the College Group’s goals and strategic initiatives.
– Overseeing the execution of operational services, ensuring their high-quality, efficiency, and effective management while covering all aspects of employee transactions.
– Spearheading performance improvements within the function and ensuring adherence to all established KPIs and metrics.
– Managing transactional activities related to the employee lifecycle, inclusive of payroll and employee guidance.
– Guarantees that HR policies are continually updated and reflect the best external practices.
– Collaborating with the CPO to foster an inclusive and dynamic work culture.

Qualifications for the role include:

– Chartered membership in the CIPD (MCIPD).
– Proven success in both operational and strategic leadership, inclusive of experience with Trade Unions.
– Expertise in giving senior-level advice regarding operations or HR business services.
– Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
– An analytical mindset, with the proficiency to evaluate requirements and formulate optimal HR solutions for HRUC.
– The capability to dissect intricate information to develop actionable solutions.
– A proven reputation for forging solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
