Opportunity Overview:
Join the World Cancer Research Fund International and contribute to the pivotal Global Cancer Update Programme (CUP Global). At WCRF International, we are at the forefront of a global network dedicated to cancer prevention, working with various charities across Europe and the Americas. Our collective aim is to diminish the incidence of preventable cancers.

CUP Global is an integral initiative spearheaded by WCRFI to investigate and inform about the association between diet, nutrition, physical activity, and cancer. This unique scientific venture is recognized as the only resource of its caliber globally.

Position: We are in search of a Head of Research Interpretation to steer the execution of CUP Global. In this role, you will preside over the CUP Global Secretariat and offer support to both the Assistant Director of Research and Policy and the Director of Research, Policy, and Innovation. This includes directing the program’s strategic course and contributing to additional WCRF network projects, such as updating global cancer statistics.

Qualifications: The role requires a PhD qualification in a relevant field (such as nutrition, cancer research, epidemiology, public health), accompanied by a minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience within a research setting. A robust grasp of public health, epidemiology, nutrition, and/or cancer, along with experience in conducting and interpreting systematic reviews, is essential. Proven leadership skills and line management experience are crucial.

How to Apply:
If you meet the qualifications and are passionate about this role, please forward your most recent CV and a cover letter (no longer than two pages) to [email protected]. Alternatively, you can send your application to HR at WCRF International, 140 Pentonville Road, London N1 9FW. Ensure that your application is submitted by the deadline. Please be aware that the right to work in the UK is a prerequisite.

In your cover letter, emphasize how your expertise and experiences align with WCRF International’s mission and how they will enhance your effectiveness in the position, supporting this with concrete instances that reflect your suitability against the job and person specifications.

Note: Due to the large number of applications, feedback will only be provided to those who have been shortlisted. If you do not receive a response within 14 days post the application deadline, please consider your application as not having progressed.
