About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has emerged to join our dedicated academic team of subject specialists who design and deliver active, applied, social, and inclusive educational experiences for students. We are seeking a passionate Hourly Paid Tutor in IT who can contribute to our undergraduate programmes with advanced expertise in one or more of the below areas:

  • Background/Specialisation: Computing Science, Cyber Security, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, IoT, AI
  • Technical Skills: Programming (C , Python, Java, or C#), CISCO Networking, AWS/Azure/GCP Developer Associate certification, Web/Software Development, SQL Databases

Successful candidates will join an established and highly regarded academic team at CU London, delivering exceptional teaching and assessments aligned with employer and learner needs in state-of-the-art facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, curriculum development, and tutorials to enhance the student learning experience.
  • Develop and implement innovative learning, assessment, and teaching materials that inspire engagement and participation.
  • Mark and assess student work, ensuring timely updates to module content and the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
  • Promote academic guidance and support, ensuring accessibility for all students.
  • Provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of global and multicultural learner groups.
  • Drive innovative practices to ensure student success and a future-focused educational offering.

Qualifications Required:

  • Academic Requirements:

– Master’s Degree in a relevant field, OR
– If from a professional practice background, a strong Honours Degree alongside a relevant professional qualification and/or membership.

  • Teaching Qualification:

– A recognised teaching qualification is essential. If not already held, candidates must be willing to pursue one (PGCE support provided by Coventry University).
