We are seeking a passionate and experienced HR Systems & MI Manager to lead our HR Systems team within the People & Organisational Development (P&OD) Directorate. This role is integral to the organisation and will position you as the subject matter expert for our Oracle system, ensuring its integrity, functionality, and continual improvement. You will manage integrations between Oracle and other key platforms including our applicant tracking system, deliver prompt and reliable reporting, and oversee statutory submissions like HESA.

Within the HR Operations function, the HR Systems team takes the lead in managing, maintaining, and improving our Oracle HCM platform and associated systems. About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced HR Systems & MI Manager to lead the HR Systems team. In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Oracle HCM, ensuring system stability, integrity, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Oversee integrations with essential HR and operational platforms, including recruitment and workforce scheduling systems, facilitating smooth data flow and functionality.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting while managing statutory submissions like HESA.
  • Drive system advancements in line with the University’s strategic goals, while leading and nurturing a high-performing team.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, Finance, and external stakeholders to optimise our systems and reporting.

About the candidate
We are seeking a dynamic leader with strong technical expertise in HR systems. While experience with Oracle HCM is highly desirable, all candidates with relevant expertise are encouraged to apply. You should have a proven track record of:

  • Leading HR systems teams and implementing system improvements.
  • Effectively managing medium to large-scale projects.
  • Delivering reporting solutions and meeting compliance requirements.
