As a new member of our skilled Skills for Success team, you will leverage your academic acumen to craft compelling skill-enhancing workshops, training sessions, and teaching content. Your contribution will span both digital and physical platforms, dramatically improving educational achievements with effective educational strategies and presentation techniques.

The ideal candidate will have prior involvement in nurturing Information and Academic Skills and will eagerly feed into our culture of innovation. We expect you to play an active role in identifying, adopting, and advocating for groundbreaking educational methods and support techniques.

You will collaborate with the team to discern, create, and implement the necessary support, as well as assess the overall efficacy of the team’s efforts. You will also take charge of particular initiatives and engage in interdisciplinary groups within the LSCS, advancing issues pertinent to the Skills for Success Team’s influence throughout the LSBU Group.

Candidate Profile:
We are eager to connect with individuals possessing:

– A qualification in Library/Information Science or equivalent experience, alongside a teaching certification or evidence of comparable expertise.
– A background in instructing or aiding Information and Academic Skills within higher or further education sectors, plus a sound comprehension of the diverse support needs of students in the LSBU Group.
– Capabilities in assisting users across various disciplines effectively utilize instructional and academic practice resources, showcasing the development and application of pioneering materials and support systems addressing both digital and in-person user engagement.

Role Specifics:
The position is a full-time, enduring appointment. An average workweek comprises 35 hours, primarily between 0800-1800, with occasional evening, weekend duties, and travel to various Group locations. LSBU endorses a hybrid working model, allowing up to 20% remote work based on job demands.

A clear DBS check is necessary for employment eligibility.
