Information Assistant – Camden Library (Part-Time)

An exciting part-time opportunity has arisen for an Information Assistant to join our Camden Library team. The role involves providing high-quality customer service while contributing to a productive academic environment.

As part of a small team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Issuing, renewing, and returning library materials
  • Assisting users in locating and accessing library resources and services
  • Handling payments
  • Responding to queries via telephone, email, service portal, webchat, and in-person interactions
  • Shelving and organising library materials
  • Performing general administrative duties

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate proven customer service skills and have experience working in a library setting (experience in higher education is desirable)
  • Possess proficiency in using workplace software such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Library Management Systems, and Helpdesk ticketing systems
  • Be an effective communicator
  • Show the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple service demands concurrently
