The MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS) is a pioneering biomedical research institute designed around a unique multi-platform computing environment that integrates Windows, Apple, and Linux technologies. About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable individual to join the LMS Computing Facility, a close-knit and collaborative team of IT specialists. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering reliable IT infrastructure support and user services to the LMS community. You’ll play a key role in developing, deploying, and maintaining backend systems that drive the Facility’s operations. Furthermore, providing training and support to staff on secure, effective use of hardware and software will be integral to your responsibilities. Collaboration with key stakeholders at Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust will be essential in driving forward the mission of LMS.

About You
We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and motivated IT professional with a hands-on approach and a passion for advancing your expertise in IT infrastructure and systems. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a unique IT ecosystem that features large-scale servers, storage solutions, high-performance computing (HPC), virtualisation technologies, and state-of-the-art scientific equipment.
