About the School/Service – IT Services
IT Services is a central hub that collaborates with the university community to transform UEL’s digital ecosystem, aligning with our Vision 2028 strategic plan. By leading cutting-edge initiatives in a dynamic, cloud-driven environment, the department works closely with staff, students, partners, and other collaborators to enhance technological capabilities across learning and workspaces.
Our team develops, implements, and supports a wide range of IT systems and services within UEL’s IT Service Portfolio. Every staff member is expected to embody UEL’s values, demonstrating a strong commitment to building a learning community grounded in equality and celebrating the rich diversity of our student and staff populations.
About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and technology-driven individual to play a vital role in designing the architecture for service integrations across UEL. This exciting position will focus on enabling secure, reliable, standardized, and optimized service integrations for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture & Design: Contribute to the design of integration and database projects, ensuring new services adhere to departmental standards and function efficiently within the organization’s ecosystem.
- Integration Support: Create, maintain, and support integrations across UEL’s systems, while proactively monitoring and managing service capacities.
- Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain clear, up-to-date documentation and diagrams for database and service integrations, reporting monthly to senior management.
- Service Security: Ensure the security of integration and database technologies by designing and executing vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and other proactive security measures.
- Collaborative Input: Engage with key stakeholders to ensure systems and services align with evolving business needs and operational requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to a culture of continual improvement by driving the implementation of ITIL best practices across the team and department.
About You
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented team member who is passionate about technology and ready to take on a critical role in managing UEL’s extensive ecosystem of over 70 systems and services. Applicants should have the drive to deliver high-performing, secure, and resilient integration services while actively engaging in innovative technical initiatives.
