Queen Mary University of London
About the Role
Data integrations are at the heart of Queen Mary University’s application ecosystem, ensuring that vital information flows seamlessly between systems like SITS, Salesforce, Moodle, financial, and HR platforms. When these systems work in harmony, they enable the University’s operations to run efficiently; however, any disruptions in data flow can have immediate and visible consequences.
As the Integrations Analyst, you will play a vital role in enhancing and troubleshooting the data within these integrations. Working within the ITS integration team, you will be responsible for analysing and resolving issues related to data movement between source and target systems via our Boomi integration platform. This role requires a deep understanding of complex data structures, a keen eye for identifying discrepancies, and the ability to pinpoint and resolve their root causes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse the databases of source and target systems to understand how data should be mapped and transformed.
- Investigate and resolve integration failures, data mismatches, and reconciliation issues.
- Support the ongoing monitoring and enhancement of integration reliability and data accuracy.
This is a hybrid, fixed-term role for 12 months, requiring two days a week onsite at our Dept W building in East London.
About You
You are highly analytical and excel at working with complex datasets spread across multiple enterprise systems. While you may have experience developing integrations, your expertise lies in interpreting data structures, examining databases, and diagnosing problems. You thrive on improving the consistency and reliability of data.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Significant experience with enterprise data in platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Strong practical knowledge of data mapping, transformation logic, and reconciliation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to undertaking root cause analysis.
You are curious about how systems interconnect, persistent in resolving inconsistencies, and driven by the goal of fostering trust and reliability in data.
