Derby College Group (DCG) is excited to announce an opportunity for an IT Support Specialist to join our team, providing high-quality technical support to the College. This position is based at our Roundhouse Campus.
The Opportunity
As an IT Support Specialist, you’ll become a valued member of our dynamic IT team, delivering a responsive and professional technical service to all college sites. Your role will encompass:
- Managing first- and second-line IT support.
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software.
- Resolving helpdesk queries using Hornbill ITSM systems.
This is an engaging, varied role that will allow you to develop your specialist knowledge and work collaboratively across teams. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring excellent customer service for staff, students, and stakeholders of the College.

About You
You are a proactive and customer-focused professional with exceptional problem-solving and organisational skills. With the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, you are committed to continuous professional growth. Key skills and experience include:
- Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with IT Helpdesk systems.
- A solid understanding of mobile operating systems and cloud-based services.
- A full driving licence.
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
- Physical capability to handle and safely install IT equipment.
