Working Hours: Full-time; 35 hours, Monday to Friday, 10am – 6pm

The Architectural Association (AA) is an independent architectural school and a renowned international cultural institution, serving as a hub for ideas and debate. It offers a distinctive public program comprising lectures, symposia, and exhibitions, alongside a range of publications. Established in 1847 and opened as a day school in 1901, the AA is dedicated to public benefit through the learning, teaching, discussion, and promotion of architecture. Recognized globally as a leader in architectural education, the school boasts a legacy of producing many of the world’s eminent architects, scholars, critics, and educators. Its academic and professional programs, from undergraduate to doctoral levels, are validated by external professional and academic entities.

Situated in historic 18th century Bedford Square, London, the AA’s campus also includes a 350-acre woodland at Hooke Park in Dorset. With an annual revenue of £18 million, it serves a vibrant community of 1,000 students, 200 faculty members, 90 staff, 6,500 members, and numerous visitors who partake in dynamic architectural discussions.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a proficient IT Systems Administrator with a strong emphasis on networking to join our team. The role involves managing and improving our network infrastructure, comprising both wired and wireless networks, to ensure secure and dependable connectivity across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing and supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Servers, and both virtual and physical server environments on-site, while also providing backup and support to our current team members.

A deep commitment to IT security and best practices is paramount, as this position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and security of our network and server infrastructure. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for implementing and enforcing security measures across systems, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, and contributing to continuous improvement in security protocols.

Additional skills in Linux and scripting using PowerShell or Power Automate are advantageous, enabling the candidate to support automation, streamline processes, and bolster team efficiency.
