Digital Services is at the forefront of providing reliable design, data, and technology expertise essential for lifelong learning. We manage all digital information, systems, and technologies that are utilized by the Open University’s staff and students. Our duties span the gamut of digital technology at the OU, from procurement and management of systems to offering primary IT support for our staff and students.

Job Opportunity:
Join us as an experienced Lead Delivery Manager within the dynamic, multi-disciplinary team at Digital Services. Your initial assignment will be to support the Student Services Portfolio with a focus on ensuring that services and products are customer-centric and designed from the user perspective, whether they are students or colleagues, to achieve the best possible outcomes. Successful candidates must have experience in agile methodologies, in leading teams, and in coaching to drive optimal performance.

We are seeking candidates who excel in collaborative environments, have noteworthy experience with the entire product lifecycle—from concept to development, launch to operation, and continuous enhancement—with an aim to enhance user experience. Candidates should be skilled in employing a variety of tools and methods, leading teams efficiently, and mentoring others for development.

Required Skills and Experience:
– In-depth knowledge and experience in Delivery Management overseeing the complete service and digital product lifecycle, using appropriate Agile and other methods.
– Innovative in establishing or adapting new practices.
– Deep comprehension of the elements needed for successful service and digital product delivery, along with proactive risk management.
– Adept at managing multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
– Proven track record of cultivating high-performing, skilled teams focused on a specific product, service, or transformation initiative.
– Solid understanding of Product Management, Service design, and development, though these may not be your primary areas of expertise.
