The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is currently seeking a Digital Learning Designer to join our dynamic RCR Learning team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with subject matter experts and RCR Learning colleagues to design and develop visually captivating and interactive online learning resources that empower doctors throughout their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Course Development: Scope, design, and create innovative online courses that address the unique needs of our learners, including Resident Doctors and Consultants.
- Facilitate Workshops: Lead course design workshops with subject matter experts (SMEs) such as doctors and academics, clearly explaining learning design principles and recommending the most effective content formats for time-pressed online learners.
- Learning Plans & Content Design: Develop learning design plans, storyboards, and course scripts that align with our pedagogical standards, balancing cost, quality, and effectiveness.
- Content Creation: Build engaging, interactive e-learning content using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Synthesia, and Canva.
- Visual Elements: Design compelling visuals, interactive exercises, videos, animations, and branded templates that enhance the learning experience.
- Innovation & Improvement: Stay abreast of current design trends and introduce fresh ideas to elevate our digital learning offerings.
- Marketing Support: Partner with marketing teams by highlighting key features and usage insights to promote our digital learning resources.
- LMS Maintenance: Help to manage and improve our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring an up-to-date and accessible content library.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven track record in instructional design and digital learning development.
- Design Expertise: Strong visual design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Creative Vision: An eye for visual storytelling coupled with a commitment to accessibility.
- Communication & Project Management: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including medical professionals.
