Learning Technologist Position: Fixed Term (Two Years)

Location: Remote working with occasional in-office attendance at 39-41 Upper Oldfield Park, Bath, BA2 3LB
Hours: Full-time

We are seeking a Learning Technologist on a fixed-term basis to bring their expertise to our dynamic Learning, Teaching, and Research department. In this role, you will enhance and innovate student, staff, and graduate experiences by integrating technology with impactful pedagogical approaches for digital, blended, and online learning—both synchronously and asynchronously.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with academic and professional teams to design, implement, and evaluate technology-enhanced learning experiences.
  • Fostering digital innovation and ensuring exceptional digital learning outcomes for students, graduates, Norlanders, and staff.

Essential criteria:

  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Education, Educational Technology, Digital Learning, IT, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in supporting academic staff or students with learning technologies or virtual learning environments (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard).
  • A proven track record in designing, developing, and evaluating digital or blended learning resources.
  • A good understanding of pedagogical approaches underpinning digital and blended learning.
  • Strong organisational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to deliver work with accuracy within tight deadlines.
  • A personable, flexible approach and a commitment to working collaboratively.
