Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic and inventive Learning Technologist who is excited to assist academics in the creation and enhancement of online learning resources via our Microsoft 365 (Teams) Virtual Learning Environment. The ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for online learning and the belief that it can perfectly complement immersive, student-led pedagogy featuring hands-on, project-based learning. With a keenness to innovate and a willingness to learn from experiences, you will tap into your extensive knowledge in learning technologies to produce engineering-centered content and learning experiences of the highest caliber.

You will provide authoritative counsel on digital content and learning technology best practices, taking an active role in defining the educational offerings of TEDI-London and collaborating intimately with colleagues to yield an unrivaled student experience.

Key Responsibilities:
– Facilitate the design and development of high-quality online and blended learning experiences to enhance the educational landscape.
– Create captivating and interactive multimedia teaching materials and courses.
– Engage with academic peers in learning, teaching, and assessment design, aimed at delivering an exceptional experience to students.
– Cultivate a support-oriented and innovative culture, offering advice and guidance for both staff and students.
– Develop and deliver training materials through sessions and workshops, available online and in-person.
– Address and solve both installation and performance issues related to engineering software for staff and student use.
– Analyze the efficacy of systems, training, and support, identify common challenges, and devise improvements.
– Contribute to the technology support and the overall infrastructure.
– Oversee the content producer and additional junior roles as needed.

Skills and Expertise:
– Extensive experience in learning design methodologies with a demonstrable impact on curricula in blended or fully online settings.
– A track record of collaborating with educational professionals in planning and creating digital learning strategies and resources.
– Proficiency in content creation and publishing on the Microsoft 365 platform, as well as familiarity with online learning tools and design software. Experience with video production, Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate 360, and Genially would be a plus.
– Compliance with standards and policies regarding accessibility, usability, data protection, copyright, and intellectual property related to online learning and data.
– Proven ability in supporting staff new to digital technologies with exceptional customer service and proactive engagement with diverse stakeholders to achieve desired results.
– Strong facilitation skills and the ability to deliver training to varied audiences, both face-to-face and virtually.
– Leadership skills, particularly in managing projects, organizing workloads, and delivering successful outcomes for oneself and others while juggling multiple initiatives and educational programs.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and relationship-building at all levels.
– Problem-solving skills and the ability to constructively engage with students and staff dynamics, even when under pressure.
– Teamwork skills and a collaborative mindset, both within the role’s discipline and across the organization.
– Adaptability and enthusiasm for participation in various roles and day-to-day tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
– A robust educational foundation, with a degree at least at the Bachelor’s level and Masters preferred, ideally in Computing/IT, Education, and/or Engineering disciplines.
