Role Overview: Learning Technologist
As a Learning Technologist at LCCM, you will work closely with academic teams to shape and deliver transformative learning experiences using cutting-edge digital tools, virtual learning environments (VLEs), artificial intelligence (AI), and blended learning strategies—all aligned with the College’s forward-thinking and industry-focused ethos.
You will play a vital role in integrating creative and inclusive technology-enhanced learning approaches across LCCM’s music programs, spanning Levels 3–7. The Learning Technologist will be responsible for driving digital innovation and fostering a culture of experimentation, creativity, and student-centered design throughout LCCM.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in educational technology or digital pedagogy.
- Expertise in designing and delivering compelling digital learning experiences, particularly in creative or music-related fields.
- In-depth knowledge of VLE platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas) and digital tools (e.g., H5P, Padlet, Miro).
- Ability to support diverse learning preferences and advocate for inclusive digital education.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to train, coach, and mentor teams with varying levels of digital competency.
- Excellent collaborative skills and project management capabilities.
- Skill in assessing the effectiveness of digital learning strategies using data-driven insights and learner feedback.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Higher-level qualification in music, music education, or a related discipline.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) or equivalent.
- Fellowship status (or higher) with Advance HE.
- Understanding of modern pedagogical models, such as experiential, flipped, and blended learning.
- Awareness of the unique needs of music students in the context of digital and blended learning environments.
