The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) Library is actively seeking a qualified Learning Technology Consultant to join our team and contribute to enhancing the educational experience through cutting-edge technology.

**Responsibilities:**

– Seamlessly integrate various educational technologies into university curricula, in partnership with faculty members, addressing both technical and pedagogical requirements.
– Provide comprehensive digital learning support, including the assessment of new educational technologies.
– Identify and fulfill faculty and student needs for support and technology by procuring and implementing digital tools.
– Plan and conduct professional development workshops focused on technical skills and teaching methodologies.
– Develop and lead sessions for students to improve digital literacy.
– Advocate for the adoption of superior digital teaching and assessment strategies.
– Stay abreast of higher education and digital learning trends, influencing teaching methods and offering recommendations as appropriate.
– Engage actively in teamwork, proposing ideas and participating in departmental enhancement initiatives.
– Carry out additional duties as directed by your supervisor or required by the Library.
– Promote and gain backing for digital teaching tools, while fostering lasting professional relationships within the Library and across the institution.
– Collaborate with campuses in the UK and Malaysia to share best practices.
– Negotiate efficiently with learning technology vendors to maximize value.
– Spearhead learning technology projects, overseeing all stages from conception to completion.

**Requirements:**

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or relevant professional experience.
– A history of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
– Minimum one year of pertinent work experience in higher education (HE).
– Expertise in audio/video resources, digital learning pedagogies, and their HE applications.
– Experience collaborating with academic staff to enhance the use of digital learning tools.
– Background in creating learning materials and conducting educational workshops.
– Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online assessments.
– Proven ability to manage ed-tech projects and work across organizational boundaries.
– Cultural and professional adaptability obtained through diverse team experiences.
– Keen understanding of digital skills development for students.
– Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent work skills.
– Motivated, proactive nature with a flexible approach.
– Service-oriented mindset with leadership capabilities for personal CPD.
– Efficient time management to meet deadlines and address challenges.
– Strong organizational, planning, and project management abilities.
– Exceptional communication skills in both written and spoken English.
