About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Librarian to join our team at the UCFB Wembley Campus. The Library and Learning Development Department plays a critical role in shaping and supporting the academic success of our students while enhancing their overall educational experience. Working in close collaboration with the academic departments, the Librarian will lead and innovate in library operations, ensuring a seamless provision of library services that align with the institution’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
As a Librarian at UCFB, your responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Overseeing the Library team, including the Assistant Librarian and Study Skills Advisors, to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Representation: Acting as the voice of the Library Service in academic meetings, internal working groups, committees, and external professional events.
- Service Promotion: Actively developing and promoting library and learning services to internal stakeholders to enhance awareness and engagement.
- Content Management: Managing and updating the Library’s Moodle pages, collaborating with the IT team to provide accessible and engaging content.
- Program Development: Partnering with the Deputy Dean, Learning & Development, to expand traditional and innovative library resources and support programs for students.
- Milestone Support: Assisting in key departmental events such as Open Days, outreach sessions, enrolment, student inductions, library workshops, and study skills drop-ins.
