Are you a dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team, supporting the Library’s busy enquiry service to ensure a friendly and efficient experience for our users.
In addition to assisting with enquiries, this role includes clerical responsibilities, regular shelving, and stock handling duties.
Having previous library experience, especially working directly with library users, would be advantageous.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- A good general education to GCSE level or equivalent (including English and Maths)
- Experience in customer service roles, delivering services directly to customers
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and excellent customer care
- Good basic IT skills
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role, such as pushing trolleys and handling books
