Do you possess expertise in the provision of academic library services? This position is oriented towards student interaction, thus necessitating your presence at our central London Office and Campus. Although there is potential for remote work on select days subject to your Line Manager’s consent.

Position Summary:
We seek a seasoned professional in information services to become an integral part of our library staff at the London office. As a Library Specialist, your duties will encompass overseeing LIBF’s library and information services. You will supervise the library personnel and guarantee that the library services, both virtual and physical, fulfill the evolving needs of students, faculty, and other staff members as educational technology progresses and user demands shift.

Your primary duties will include:

– Administration of both LIBF e-library and physical library services.
– Management and leadership of the library team.
– Ensuring effective support for students, academics, and staff through suitable resources.
– Participation in and support of the continuous enhancement of library resources and services.
– Planning, conducting, and assisting with a variety of educational, developmental, and training initiatives.
– Establishment of processes and guidance for delivering exceptional customer assistance.
– Continuous expansion of your knowledge and prowess regarding current trends in academic library service delivery.

The successful candidate will demonstrate pronounced self-motivation, with the capacity for self-supervision and quality management of one’s work, while cultivating strong collaborative relationships across diverse teams. An open, adaptable attitude is essential, as are robust problem-solving capabilities and customer service excellence. As an assured presenter, you will excel at engaging and inspiring learners of varying proficiencies to hone their information-gathering acumen.
