Supporting the implementation of UNSW’s ‘Progress for All’ strategic plan, M&DX fosters innovative marketing, content, and digital practices that drive both commercial and societal outcomes.
At the cutting edge of marketing and digital experience, the M&DX portfolio leverages advanced technologies—such as the Adobe Experience Platform, Salesforce CRM, and emerging AI capabilities—to improve personalised audience engagement.
As the Manager, Customer Analytics Transformation, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing UNSW’s lead management systems and customer-centric strategies. This newly created role centres on shaping data strategy, promoting digital innovation, and ensuring transformational outcomes to elevate enterprise-wide customer experiences.
About You
We’re looking for a strategic, forward-thinking leader who can elevate UNSW’s customer analytics capabilities, leveraging data, AI, and technology to deliver personalised and insights-driven life-cycle experiences for students, alumni, and researchers. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing operational leadership for customer analytics transformation and innovation, including managing and mentoring your team.
- Establishing M&DX as the Centre of Excellence for lead management and digital personalisation. Collaborating with marketing, sales, and digital experience teams to develop and implement data-rich customer experience (CX) and digital experience (DX) strategies in alignment with university priorities.
- Defining and implementing UNSW’s customer data and AI strategies, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) and UNSW IT principles.
- Acting as the Product Owner for RT-CDP and CJA platforms, overseeing their business configurations, ingestion strategies, customer schema management, consent protocols, segmentation, predictive analytics, and insights generation.
- Leading ongoing development and governance of AI models and data architecture within M&DX. Working closely with UNSW IT and EDO to establish security, anomaly detection, incident tracking, and monitoring protocols.
- Identifying, prioritising, and developing high-impact customer analytics use cases that deliver measurable outcomes across student recruitment, alumni engagement, and research partnerships.
- Shaping strategic roadmaps for lead management transformation, staying ahead of industry trends, and positioning UNSW as a sector innovator.
- Advising M&DX leadership on analytics transformation, AI, and advanced capabilities like Customer Data Management, Journey Orchestration, and AI-driven tech solutions.
- Driving customer journey strategies tailored to key audiences, shifting marketing approaches from campaign-based to always-on lifecycle strategies.
- Fostering a culture of innovation within M&DX by promoting experimentation and test-and-learn approaches. Providing mentorship to team members on advanced customer analytics practices.
- Cultivating strong, collaborative relationships across UNSW to champion customer-centric strategies and ensure smooth integration across departments.
