Position: Network Operations Engineer
Working Pattern: Full-time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

You’ll become part of our dynamic, collaborative, and highly skilled Network Operations team, providing essential wired and wireless connectivity across the campus.

As a large, research-led university with over 300 buildings and more than 35,000 users, the role of Network Operations is crucial in supporting a diverse range of activities. Whether managing day-to-day service requests, enabling groundbreaking research projects, supporting major events, or delivering connectivity for new teaching facilities, every day brings variety and opportunity. Additionally, the University has recently embarked on a multi-year network modernisation programme, prioritising a “wireless-first” connectivity approach. As a valued team member, you will play an integral part in this initiative, enhancing the user experience while developing your skills and expertise.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a motivated and proactive networking professional with hands-on experience in supporting Cisco Catalyst wired and wireless infrastructures. You’ll possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to adapt to challenges, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver effective solutions. A solid understanding of IT infrastructure in large, complex organisations, along with the associated challenges, would be advantageous.

While existing skills in scripting (e.g., Python) are a bonus, what matters most is your enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
