This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation at the heart of the UK’s tertiary education sector.

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) is the UK’s independent quality body for tertiary education. Our mission is to ensure that students and learners receive the best possible quality of education. Over the years, we have adapted to meet the evolving needs of a sector that has seen significant reform across all UK nations.

As the UK’s foremost authority on quality and standards, we maintain key sector resources such as the UK Quality Code for Higher Education, Subject Benchmark Statements, and the Frameworks for Higher Education Qualifications.

We are a trusted partner of governments and funding bodies throughout the UK. In Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, we collaborate with the sector to address each nation’s specific needs. In Scotland, we lead initiatives as part of the Tertiary Quality Enhancement Framework (TQEF), working alongside the Scottish Funding Council, colleges, universities, and delivery agency partners to ensure an exceptional student learning experience. In England, our membership programme offers a wealth of resources to strategic leads, quality specialists, students, and learners.

Internationally, QAA is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading quality assurance organisations, supporting the UK sector as it welcomes global students and expands its transnational education efforts.

With unparalleled experience in impartial regulatory and collaborative quality assurance, we work alongside universities, colleges, students, governments, funders, and regulatory bodies to uphold and improve the high quality and standards of education across the sector.

As a remote-first organisation, we encourage flexible working while prioritising effective service delivery for our stakeholders and customers. We aim to empower individuals and teams to work in a way that suits them, as long as business needs are met.

About the Role

This role focuses on leveraging data, thematic analysis, and intelligence to enhance quality assurance for higher education programmes regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). By integrating reports, monitoring data, and broader sector-wide datasets, you will provide key insights that support informed decision-making.

In collaboration with internal teams and external partners, you will ensure our data systems enable effective planning, identify emerging risks, and foster a dynamic, evidence-based approach to quality assurance.

About You

You will have substantial experience in data production, analysis, and interpretation, with the ability to distill qualitative and quantitative information into insightful conclusions.

Familiarity with higher education datasets and knowledge of quality standards—ideally including NMC Education Standards—are essential for success in this role. You should be analytical, collaborative, and capable of fostering strong relationships while contributing to an agile, insight-driven quality assurance service.

Are you skilled at transforming data into actionable insights for regulated programmes? Join us in delivering high-impact analysis and reporting to support our NMC commitments.
