The Minster Centre

The Minster Centre is currently on the lookout for a dedicated and capable individual to join our team as a Programme & Data Administrator. This pivotal position, with a strong focus on student services, encompasses a diverse array of tasks, primarily centered around meticulous data management, processing, and reporting to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), as well as overseeing the academic progression and the workings of assessment boards for student records.

We are keen to find someone with a background in higher education administration, who is not only organized and tech-savvy (specifically, with a high proficiency in Excel), but also someone who can perform effectively under pressure. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently on multiple tasks, and adept at forging strong relationships with both colleagues and external contacts. This position presents a valuable chance for an individual with applicable skills to further enhance their expertise and play a significant role in the advancement of the Minster Centre.

Working hours are set at 24.5 hours each week, with the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements.

Core Duties:
Data Management:

– Gathering and handling student data under the guidance of the Registrar and executing tasks independently when required.
– Inputting data using HESA-specific software tools and addressing any issues that arise.
– Serving as a go-to for both internal and external data-related inquiries.
– Collaborating with HESA to handle issues as needed and maintaining data quality.
– Organizing tasks to meet deadlines and ensure timely data submissions.
– Keeping abreast of and preparing for changes in data submission requirements.
– Creating reports based on student data.
– Contributing to the advancement of our Salesforce student information system.

Student Progression:

– Establishing and updating accurate student records.
– Accurate transference of grades from Moodle into the system.
– Supervising student progression and collaborating with the Registrar and department heads to address any concerns.
– Preparing student progression materials for bi-annual Assessment Boards.
– Documenting minutes during assessment board meetings.
– Issuing certificates and diploma supplements post-award.
– Managing the storage and archiving of student works and feedback on Moodle.
– Acting as a primary point of contact for course-related queries from staff and faculty.
