Part-Time Recruitment & Onboarding Manager (12-Month Maternity Cover)
Contract: Fixed Term (29.6 hours per week)

About the Role

We’re seeking a strategic and confident Recruitment & Onboarding Manager for a maternity cover position to lead the College’s recruitment team and drive forward our People Strategy. This is a key part-time position, offering a chance to make meaningful change while building relationships across internal and external stakeholders.

As a Recruitment & Onboarding Manager, you’ll work closely with hiring managers to deliver tailored recruitment solutions, build relationships with external agencies, and oversee the onboarding process to ensure compliance with safeguarding regulations, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE). Leading a dedicated team of two Recruitment Assistants, you’ll have the opportunity to continuously improve processes, enhance candidate experience, and deliver the high-quality recruitment outcomes the College champions.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Managing the recruitment inbox and addressing escalated recruitment queries.
  • Overseeing onboarding processes for new staff, including agency employees, volunteers, and PGCE students.
  • Attracting top talent by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Conducting regular reviews of recruitment strategies and ensuring smooth processes.
  • Leading staff development through training on interviewing best practices, recruitment, and onboarding.
  • Organizing and planning job fairs and other recruitment-focused events.
  • Analysing recruitment data to inform strategy and drive improvements.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in recruitment management, ideally in education or similar sectors.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A creative and strategic mindset, with skills to analyze data and drive improvements.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding compliance, including KCSIE regulations.
  • The ability to coordinate competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for delivering exceptional candidate experiences and promoting careers in education.
