About Us

Rated as one of the top three modern universities in London, we offer a dynamic portfolio of apprenticeships, short courses, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Our research excellence is widely recognised—REF2021 ranked us as the best modern university in the UK for research and the highest-ranked modern university in London.

The Role

We are seeking a Registry Assistant to join our central Academic Registry Services Team on a full-time, fixed-term maternity cover basis. This position focuses on frontline customer service and offers support to our Records and Awards teams.

As Registry Assistant, you will work closely with the Assessment and Awards Officers to ensure seamless execution of logistics and processes related to the issuance of official certifications and the verification of student records. The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative experience along with a commitment to advising and assisting students, graduates, and the wider public on matters of record certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service—whether in person at the Registry enquiries window, or virtually via telephone, Teams, and the Service Desk ticketing system.
  • Provide excellent support to colleagues with the student experience remaining central to service delivery.
  • Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills and maintain a professional approach.

About You

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively prioritise and manage competing tasks, and is confident in handling and analysing large sets of data. The ability to exercise sound judgement when triaging enquiries is crucial, as is a collaborative attitude to teamwork.
