Loughborough University is seeking to appoint a Research Policy Associate to become a part of the R&I Quality, Policy and Culture team within the Research and Innovation Office. This position is a full-time, permanent role with a starting salary in the range of £27,979 to £32,982 per annum. The Research and Innovation Office is instrumental in defining and administrating the university’s research and innovation endeavors, ensuring the delivery of outstanding, efficient, comprehensive support to our community of researchers throughout the lifecycle of research development.

Role Description:
The newly created position of Research Policy Associate will contribute to formulating the evidential foundation critical for making informed research policy decisions at the university. The associate will facilitate the administration of systems and the collection of data necessary to adeptly navigate policy requirements, which include research assessments, performance monitoring, adherence to Open Access mandates, and research data management.

The candidate will be chiefly involved with the university’s current research information system (CRIS) known as LUPIN (Loughborough University Publication INformation System), overseeing and refining metadata related to research outputs and their impact while ensuring it is accurately linked to the Research Repository.

We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of working effectively with electronic systems and databases, who possesses a keen eye for detail and a commitment to precise and meticulous work.
