Security Systems Administrator Role at De Montfort University (DMU)

Faculty / Directorate

You’ll be part of the Estates & Facilities Directorate, a large and diverse department comprising approximately 300 professionals, including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, cleaners, porters, leisure centre assistants, property managers, architects, project officers, CAD and space management experts, sustainability and energy specialists, and administrative staff.

The Security Team, a key unit within Estates & Facilities, is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all staff, students, and authorized visitors. Operating 24/7, this committed team includes roles such as Building Attendants, Security Officers, Investigators, Team Leaders, and others, all working together to uphold safety across the campus.

Role Description

As a Security Systems Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining DMU’s security systems portfolio. You will oversee the administration of the Salto Space access control system, including the production of staff ID cards. Additionally, your responsibilities will extend to supporting systems such as the Avigilon CCTV system, the key Traka system, the Security Incident Management system, and the Security Bodycam system.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the university’s Security System Officer, navigating a dynamic environment while working with a variety of stakeholders across the university.
