Job Description

Join our innovative Technical Operations team at EDINA. You will oversee the management of EDINA’s infrastructure services. This is a full-time, open-ended role, classified as Grade UE08, located in central Edinburgh. The position offers a hybrid work model requiring at least one day per week on campus, reporting to the Head of Technical Operations.

What the Job Involves:

  • Expert administration of key EDINA systems including Linux VMs, Gitlab, Puppet, and Kubernetes, among others.
  • Support and maintain IT infrastructure for EDINA’s revenue-generating services ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Develop and maintain robust quality control and management processes to uphold consistent service levels.
  • Manage and maintain staff device inventory, ensuring it complies with information security requirements.

About You:

  • You have significant experience managing pivotal systems that ensure service resilience at EDINA.
  • You possess strong people skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You are technically adept, ideally with experience in cloud service delivery.
  • You have knowledge of best practices in cluster management.
  • You proactively identify needs and solutions to strengthen and secure our technical infrastructure.
